Rockford Hockey Heritage exists as an informational resource for all hockey related items, teams, jerseys, history, and alumni in the Rockford, Illinois area. Our goal, as it has always been, is to have the most accurate and informative Rockford hockey information that one could ever need.

Rockford Hockey Heritage not only produces this website which has been established as an informational resource, but it also operates exhibits and displays of jerseys, photos, and memorabilia linked to various Rockford teams and players. Between the website and the exhibits, our purpose is to keep the heritage and memories alive and serve as a remembrance of the players, teams, and parents that have sacrificed so much to play this sport. Our hope is that through this project we will inspire the younger players to follow their dream of playing hockey.

THE ROCKFORD HOCKEY CLUB IS PART OF THE NIHL! The Rockford Hockey Club has many teams for players of various ages. The club teams range from the mites through bantam level. The club teams are part of the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL). MANY ROCKFORD ICEHOGS CALLED UP TO BLACKHAWKS! Now with the Rockford Icehogs being part of the AHL, a number of players have been called up to the NHL to play for the Chicago Blackhawks. On December 29, 2007, former Rockford Icemen alumni played a charity game to raise donations for the Salvation Army.
